DRINK, don't DRIVE
DRINK, DON'T DRIVE.I already posted this to my multiply site, but I did not waste my time explaining it there. Well, without comments, I guess no one's reading. I guess it's because it's limited to those people that knows my page.
Here I know I have smaller chances that someone would actually read my entries since I never really advertise my page that much. But still, if ever, my viewers are from across the globe. I don't mind you not giving comments here as long as I know I'm not limited to writing here. I mean, I don't have people telling me that my shit is pure crap. *LOL* you know what I mean.
Back to what I'm originally planning to do. This picture presents a funny aura. But it's message gives something about reality. You might be wondering why compare it to beer. I don't know to whomever made that graffiti. But the message it delivers to me is that, having fun is much cheaper than filling up your car with what it needs -- fuel. Others think it's crazy, but what the hell. It is crazy.
What's happening around the world is crazy. STORMS, RICE SHORTAGE, PRICE INCREASE, and many many more. One reason would be GLOBAL WARMING, I guess. Then CORRUPTION. Nah. It's not rare anymore. I'm not surprised if this is happening because of that.
Are you getting what I'm saying? Well, maybe some of you gets me. and some don't. But really, right now, economically, we have to be responsible with whatever we have to decide. Every decision is crucial coz it affects our daily living. We should not spend to much on things that we don't really need. Let's just be practical at some point. I guess it's a basic survival "thingy". What if the world is really experiencing some really shitty something? At least, we'll all be prepared about it if we just have to be responsible and practical.

MOVIE REVIEW: It's a Boy Girl Thing

During a school field trip in a museum, Nell and Woody are paired up by their teacher. They started to argue in front of an ancient Aztec statue absorbing their souls. While they sleep, the statue transfers their souls to each other, waking up in each others body.
Trying to get back to their normal selves again, they tried settling the difference between them and went back into the museum in front of the Aztec statue. They tried explaining to the statue but nothing happened. They thought, they needed more getting to know each other.
But instead of making good for each other, they started ruining each other's lives by doing things they're not supposed to do.
Nell, having her interview for college in Yale, and Woody, having his homecoming football game, they tried helping each other with what they should do. Nell, in Woody's body, is trying to help Woody in Nell's body to study about literature. While Woody in Nell's body is trying to help Nell in Woody's body with his football game.
With constantly seeing each other, they're getting to know more about themselves, they began to feel something for each other. Soon, just after the homecoming football game, they meet up at the locker room and talked about what just happened. Then the Aztec God turned them back to where they're supposed to be. Nell, then saw Woody kissing his ex-girlfriend, head cheerleader Brianna. Hurt, Nell went back home and decided not to go to the homecoming dance, where she and Woody are going together.
At the party, Woody is waiting for Nell. But Nell has no plans of going. But her father tells her encouraging things, things good about Woody. Then she decided to go and meet up with Woody. Then they live happily ever after. JOKE! They just realized that they maybe not Romeo or a Head Cheerleader, but they know they love each other.
**************************************************************
The movie portrays to contradicting characters, Nell and Woody. They're neighbors all their lives at the same time, enemies all their lives because of the differences in their families and in their personalities. Nell, as a smart ass or commonly knowns as a NERD, comes from a well-off family with aspirations of becoming successful on the future. On the other hand, Woody is a "dumb jock" who only thinks about his popularity in school as the head captain of their football team.
MOVING FORWARD
But during those times where my father keeps on talking bad about what happened to me and to me, I told my nanay about it. She told me that, one point or another, my dad was right, but instead of putting pressure on me, he should have just consoled or comforted me. But, that never happened. He keeps on yelling things I don't wanna hear, and forcing me to stop school. But I insisted on continuing my studies.
Nanay knew about it. She knew I was so down. I showed her, my self-pity. She doesn't want me to do that. She knows that among the five children of my mom and dad, I'm the only one who lacks attention from them. That's why nanay always gives me her attention. Even if it's my fault, she takes my side.
She called from the states a day after my dad yelled at me. She was encouraging me about my studies that I should just do good the next time. That Chemistry isn't really an easy subject that even her once failed it. Then something surprised me. She told me that she'll gonna try to bring me to the states with her when she comes back. It was really a bad morning for me. I keep on avoiding my parents, afraid that they might bring the subject again and start yelling at me. But when my nanay told me that, it was the happiest day of my life because I really love the idea of going to the states and continue my studies there.
She promised that, but for the mean time I should do good in school while waiting for whatever is going to happen to their plan. I also told her that on the 2nd semester, I'm not gonna go to school because I don't have any subjects to take anymore. So I was planning on working on the 2nd sem. She agreed. I should make the most of my time.
Well, that's it. After that great news, I moved on with my life. I can't do anything about the past, so I'm making the most for my future. :)

Does Size Really A Big Deal?
http://kyle78.multiply.com/reviews/item/41
If you're wondering what it is... Well, it's almost the same story of what you can see in the movie, JUST FRIENDS starring Ryan Reynolds.
You see, Macky (*Sam Milby*) is a BIG guy, a pastry chef who has a BIG crush on a young socialite columnist named Nina (*Kristine Hermosa*). They were chat mates and they arranged themselves a date. When it was time for them to meet, Nina was surprised to see that her date was a clumsy 300 lbs - guy. Embarrassed, Macky hired Aira (*Toni Gonzaga*), the personal trainer of Nina, as his personal trainer and to help him lose some weight so that he could impress Nina. Along the way, the 2 developed feelings/affection for each other. But then, their feelings should be set aside because Aira has a job offering abroad and she has to accept it for she's the one working for her family. After a couple of years, the fat guy Macky is now one of the most famous hottie in town. When Aira got back from abroad, she had to meet Macky. She was shocked at the drastic change Macky had undergone. Her feelings towards him got even more stronger only to find out that Nina and Macky are now together and are engaged. At the end, Macky realized that she loves Aira, the woman who loved him despite his extra size and they got together leaving Nina in the scene.
***************************************************
That's my synopsis.
At first, I thought this movie was great because it's about a fat boy falling in love and that he's willing to do everything just to impress the girl of his dreams only to turn out that the girl of his dreams isn't the right girl for him. At first, I thought it could be an inspiration for me to really shed off some extra baggage. Thinking that it's really possible to really get off the extra weight, especially when you work on it. But the issue is SIZE DISCRIMINATION. Is size really an issue??? I guess it is... I really know the feeling when you love someone but that someone couldn't love you back because of what you look (size, face, personality and anything on the surface). And it's not good... You really feel sorry for yourself
Here's my current outlook on the movie:
"I have to change my view on this movie. Yes, at first I thought, this movie is something that i can associate myself. but really... something i thought that could at least lessen the discrimination against fat/obese people. but who am i kidding? really... the movie never gives fat/obese people a chance of who they really are. You noticed that at the end of the movie, the male character changes from fatty to hottie right? yes, maybe it's giving us something to think about that if we try to change ourselves, maybe we find some happiness that we really wanted. but what about those people who, even with a lot of exercise, even though they're not lazy, are still fat? would they still have a chance of meeting someone who would accept who they are??? I've been reading some text, that there are really people that are genetically obese...that no matter what they do, they are what they are....
But still... the movie was good.
Here are some lines from the movie and the trailer:
"When you change your looks, should it also change the beat of your heart?"
"Alam mo ba yung pakiramdam ng hindi ka mahalin ng taong mahal mo?" (*Do you know the feeling that you're not love by the person you love?*)

Flip-Flops: Dangerous to Health?
Flip-flops are OK in moderation, but Wearing Them Too Often Can Prove to Have Adverse Long- Term Effects
Aug. 22, 2007
They say beauty comes at a price, and this summer, our feet are the victims. As flip-flops become more popular, so too do the long - and - short - term health problems that come with them.
"Flip-flops have singlehandedly caused more problems with people's feet in the last couple years than probably any other type of shoe," said Dr. Rock Positano, a podiatrist at New York's Hospital for Special Surgery.
Lori Geller broke her ankle wearing flip-flops. "The ground was wet, so my foot slipped off and turned."
Geller is certainly not alone.
"I was at the supermaket, and I slipped in my flip-flops on cottage cheese and really hurt myself," said Tiffany Andreade of an embarrassing fall.
These women and others may be heading feet first into a world of short- and long-term foot problems. Positano sees about five to 10 flip-flop related injuries a week -- injuries he believes are a direct result of women wearing flip-flops in place of normal walking shoes.
"The problem with this is absolutely no support … the foot is able to go in any direction it wants to go in, and it directly impairs the ability of the foot to function as a shock absorbing part of the body," Positano explained.
Flip-flops present long-term health problems, too. Laura DePrizio had struggled with a nerve problem in her foot, but she had gotten it under control before this summer.
She couldn't believe her ears when Positano told her the culprit for the return of her problems was her flip-flops.
"It had to be the gym, it had to be the running, it had to be something other than the flip-flop. It just didn't seem that it would be such a problem," DePrizio said.
In addition to aggravating old problems, people with flat feet or high arches can also do long-term, serious damage by wearing flip-flops.
"These foot types normally will predispose a person to developing problems with their tendons with joint stability," Positano said. "And long term there is always the possibility of developing chronic tendinitis or overuse injuries not only in the ankle but also the knee, the hip and the back."
Positano said that in moderation, flip-flops are fine. The problems arise when people wear them for long periods and long distances at a time.
He also warned that it's not safe to wear flip-flops while driving, as they are not anchored to the feet and can get lodged under the gas pedal or brake.
"Basically this is no better than walking on a rubber band," Positano quipped.

Movie101: Kung Fu Panda
Kung Fu Panda is a story about a Panda named Po, who dreams about being one of the masters of Kung Fu, like his idols, the Tigress, the Viper, the Monkey, the Mantis, and the Crane. *I think the word 'the' has some relevance to their names* But Po is just a mere noodle maker in his dad's noodle shop. In the Jade Temple, Oogway, the turtle had a vision that Tai Long, the Snow Leopard *the enemy* is going to escape from prison. Hearing this dreadful news, Master Shifu, the master of the Furious Five, sent a messenger to the prison telling to double their guards. Oogway then tells Shifu that it was time to select the new dragon warrior that would protect the people *the animals* in case Tai Long should escape. News spread around the village and as a fan, Po wanted to see who gets chosen. Unfortunately, due to his "fatness" he hardly got to the temple from the thousand steps. When he got to the top, the doors were locked and he wasn't able to enter. Due to persistence, he did everything to get inside. He then thought of fireworks. A rocket. Accidentally, he fell in front of Oogway, making him the dragon warrior. Now, it's up to him to defeat the leopard. Shifu thought Po isn't the dragon warrior and that it was an accident. But Oogway insist that Shifu trains him. Shifu is very doubtful of Po. He thinks he can't do it because Po is fat. Even the Furious Five doesn't believe that Po can do it. And they did anything to get rid of him from the Jade temple, to quit being the dragon warrior. But the movie goes on, he was trained by Shifu and was able to defeat the enemy.**************************************************
This movie is great for everybody. It has so many lessons.

Gaming 101: Tekken 6
My favorite character, Marshall Law. Today was my first time playing the game. And whew! how it surprised me. It's very different from the Tekkens I've played from the past. Tekken 6 is playable through the new (well, at least it's new for me) Playstation 3. This game has one of the best graphics I've ever seen in my whole gaming life. There are some added characters, but the original are retained. It has an online versus multi player mode. There's also the customization of costumes of characters. It has the rage systems, wherein if the character is in 'danger' *almost dying* their attack power is improved. Well, there's a lot more to Tekken 6 and I can't enumerate all of them. LOLYou just have to go to the nearest gaming area in your area and play the game. it's worth it. Had to use up 200 pesos... LOL.

Good Friends are hard to come by
I really love this picture. You know why? I can see genuine smiles in it. I never ever saw myself smile like that before. Something in me tells me that I'm with the right people already. Yes, they're not perfect. They have their own flaws. But, as the undying cliche goes, "NO ONE'S PERFECT". I've been with a lot of people before. I thought they were the right ones. *The exact same thing I said before* But true colors came out and everyone's started leaving/avoiding everyone. We were perfect then. More fun, less seriousness. It was all having a good time. Let me quote one line of a song, "GOOD TIMES NEVER SEEM SO GOOD!" *from the song SWEET CAROLINE by Neil Diamonds* Well, the thing we thought was perfect wasn't perfect after all. Everyone started making bull comments with each other. They just broke down. But the thing is, they just couldn't accept the difference of each other. They wanted all to be the same. No one's the same!! Everyone's different. It just have to surface to get noticed.Having this 'new' established friendship, I just came out of my comfort zone. It made me comfortable with myself. Before I use to think that I'm ugly and fat. But now, I learned to appreciate who I really am. I'm fat, yes, and I'm now open to the idea that soon, I wouldn't be the fat guy they use to laugh at. And definitely I'm good looking. *I even got me a date for next week. My girl friend from the past wanted the two of us to meet. I got excited. At last, a real date* Just faced the mirror this morning and saw how beautiful my nose is. *got the nose from my mom's side. we've got good noses* So ok... I'm not comparing anyone to anyone. Even though, It never worked perfectly before. I know I learned something. Good things never last unless you make it last. and I know there's a lot to learn... We just need to look at it and listen to it. I would not expect anything from this 'new' set of friends. I don't wanna get frustrated/disappointed again if ever the same thing from before happens. I expected to much before and invested so much emotions. That's why it was hard letting go. but i got the hang of it. I just realized, it was just not right. I was once called, "an ALTERNATIVE", "a LEFTOVER". *smirk* Oh yeah... I wouldn't expect anything but I'm hoping it wouldn't happen again. Soon enough I will really find my own place in what they call the Greater Scheme of Things. Are we getting a bit melodramatic here? Don't be.
Let's us all just have some fun while it lasts. There's always a first time and a last time. And when our time is up. OUR TIME IS UP. Right now, for me, I'll grab this opportunity of a new life. thanks to the people behind my back because seriously, good friends are hard to come by... oh and yeah... I really wanna say this to one of the people in the picture. You know who you are... You're the only one who said to me that I am a true friend. T_T Never got that in many years because I thought I only have friends because I'm so GENEROUS. You know what I'm saying right *Nagnakaw kasi ako ng cellphone ba! LOL*. To those who don't understand the meaning of what I said... LOOK BETWEEN THE LINES. Don't just judge on the surface. Go deeper. You'll understand
Poor minds talk about people."

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
Today, I watched the movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, alone. *I was hoping to go with a friend but didn't show up.* This is the 2nd installment of the series of 7. During the first movie, it was about the 4 Pevensie siblings coming to the Magical World of Narnia through a wardrobe. This time, they were called through Queen Susan's horn, used by Prince Caspian. After 1300 years in Narnia (1 year in the real world), many have changed in Narnia. Their castle that once stand at Cair Paravel was now in ruins after a few hundred years. As you can remember, during the first installment, they were the only humans in Narnia, the 4 Pevensies. Now, here comes the Telmarines, natives of Telmar, which are/is the enemy. The Kings and Queens, now are traveling, led by a dwarf, to find the other Narnians to win their land back from the Telmarines. They found Caspian and the other Narnians and planned an attack on the Telmarines. On the end, they were struggling to win from the Telmarines that they sent Lucy to find Aslan. And with Aslan, they won. On the end end *lol* the sibling went back to the real world. Before coming back to the real world, Aslan told Peter and Susan that the next time, they won't be able to comeback. *wink***********************************
Like the first movie, it never failed to impress me. I had to watch it 2 times before I got satisfied. I'm not even satisfied... LOL. The movie is/was great! I guess it has everything. Great actors, it was fun, it was funny, it was dramatic, it was romantic and it was action-filled. You really wouldn't want to miss it, do you? It was great and everything, but I've got my questions. I've read the book, actually. That's why I'm wondering about some scenes. I never saw the nymphs, the sylphs and the dryads. There were suppose to be thousands of those things in the fight scene, but I never saw a single of each of those I've mentioned. Like Harry Potter, they changed many things from the book in the movie. Well, I guess that makes the movie much more interesting, don't you think? That's why we like to watch the movie after reading the book. We want to know the difference of the two. LOL. Well, the movie is really great. Oh yeah. One more thing, ever wondered why the merpeople never appeared in the movie? When in fact, they're suppose to be playing a big part in mythical stories like these. HAHAHAHAHA! Well, we just have to wait for the next installment. Spoiler!

Making it Complicated
It's been weeks... no, no... it's been a month since I know about my academic standing. and it's been a month that I have been lying to my dad. I want to stop. I just don't know how. It's easy to tell me to tell him... but it's really hard to do. Especially if you don't have any good relationship with him.
Another reason why I can't tell him. It's because I'm afraid. I'm afraid that certain things may happen. Like, he's going to throw me out of the house, he's going to hit me straight in the face, or the one thing I really don't like... Give the blame to my mom. I don't like mom getting hurt because of dad. It pisses me off... It makes me wanna punch the crap out of my dad.
Whew! When will this be going to stop? I already told my grandma about this. and she accepted it whole heartedly telling me that she understands my situation. Mind you, she's the one whose making me go to school. She's the one whose paying my tuition. I already told you about that, didn't I?
Well, everyone knows about my "BIG" problem except for dad... and i don't know how far this is going to last but right now, I should be enjoying my time while it lasts...
