Reminiscing the Old Days
How I miss the old days. The fun I had with friends. The games we used to play when we were just kids. The places we used to hang out. The things we did and so many more. Time really is fast and a lot has changed and will still change. But memories we had will stay forever in the heart.
When I got home, I was craving for something. Something very familiar but it's something I've never tried for a long time. To eat my ninang's cake again. People told me she's now managing my previous school's canteen. So I got my camera and took off to school. When I got there, I was pree much shocked at a few changes the school had. After 8 years of being gone, I was back to visit. At last! :)
First things first. I looked for my ninang. Found her in the new school canteen which was beside the new school inside the school. Yes. It was a school for smarter children. I was glad to see my ninang and my ninong again after a long time. Yes. I never see them when I go home. I was pree much looking for pastries unfortunately, ninang didn't make anything. She explained why but it would be too long to put it in here. Besides, you wouldn't care if I told you, right? :D
After a few minutes of talking, I left the canteen to take pictures of my old schools, thinking it would be really great to post this pictures in the net and reminisce the old days. At the first building I got in, I saw my sister's English teacher. Or should I say she saw me first. The first reaction she had was, why was I taking pictures of the grounds. I didn't recognize her until I remembered that she was an English teacher during my time --she's a coordinator now, that I belittled because of her poor English -- I was trained good English at a good school before I transfered. You can't blame me. :P
We were exchanging memories of the old days. She still remember my classmates -- a few of them, and the achievments they had. I wasn't much of an achiever in that school. but still good. I was still part of the smarter kids' class. :P
I asked her about my teachers if they were still teaching the institution. Some were still there, and some retired, maybe because of old age or they weren't happy anymore. After that long talk, I looked for my 5th grade adviser, Mrs. Victoria "Vicky" Navarro. I could still remember her!! She still owns the classroom we had before. Damn! I didn't know the room was pretty small. We're we that small before? It's pree funny to think that before we were just small kids running around and now we're grown-ups ready to face the challenges of life.
Ma'am Vicky still teaches Music, Ukelele, Flute and P.E. just like before. Though she added a new one which is the General Science Subject. I could still remember my Gen. Sci. teacher Mrs. Zubibe. She now teaches the smarter kids in the new school :P
I guess that's it. It's time to post the pictures I took while I was there.
SFPES Grand Stand
I don't know how long it stayed standing after we graduated grade school. It's now a wreck. It's not being used by the school because it's a little bit old and it could toople down. It's pree old but I could still remember a lot of things with that Grand Stand.
- It was were we stood when we were hailed Student Council when i was in 4th and 5th grade.
- We use to have lunch there when I was in 6th grade.
- We play "Tag" after lunch
- I remember the most embarassing moment I had with that grand stand. When my right foot fell off a small hole tearing up my pants leaving a big rip showing my underwear to everybody. It hurt a lot. Damn! I had to call our helper to bring me a new pair. lol
- Under that we use to play "Patintero"
H.E. Classroom once stood here
Here, before stand the old H.E. Classroom.
It was here that I first learn how to cook -- Atsara!! :)
Yes. Our teacher whom I forgot the name but remember the face was a fatty and loves to eat. So during class we cook. lol. Just kidding. She taught us many things from making this and that, to table settings, to common curtesy. :D
Everything with etiquette. But unfortunately, she's was one of the teacher with bad English. Anyway, I remember the day when we use to run and hide on that classroom. It was a pree much deserted classroom esp when there's no H.E. class scheduled or if there were just lecutres. Unfortunately, this lot has been sold to someone and the old building had to be demolished for a new one. They said, the funds earned was used to repair the infamous social hall. Which I forgot to take a photo.

4th Grade Classroom
Now only in our memories. Here once stood my 4th grade classroom. Under Mrs. Basilisco. She was such a terror teacher to everybody but to me. She was nice to me until that fateful day that i destroyed the Restroom of the classroom. Let me say, destroyed the bowl of the Restroom. I pree much jumped on it and *kablam*. Smashed! And to tell you I wasn't fat that time. I was a skinny timid and shy little boy. lol. I remember when we use to decorate the classroom of dance props for Christmas. The big lanters that we were required to bring. I could still remember the first business i had. Selling Tex Cards -- the little cards we used to flip before. I dunno if they still exist in the new generation. Yes. I could still remember selling Pokemon Tex Cards before. Another thing is all the LQ i had with a special someone. This was the place where I first told that girl that I liked her. The girl who was the prettiest in the class. Oh and the cheating times during exams, that our teacher had to separate 4 of us to different seats during quizzes and exams. lol. Those time are surely missed.
Garden Beside the 4th Grade Classroom
This was once the garden we used to toil. Or should I say "they" used to toil. Oh yes. I never like getting my hand dirty. But sometimes I had to do it for grades. And sometimes to make "sip-sip" to my teacher. Another garder stood beside the classroom. It's now gone. I dunno why they had to destroy that garden. And I dunno why we have to take care of it when in the future it had to be destroyed. lol
Anyway, before there were still Santan Flowers there and the yellow green bush that i forgot the name. There were small red flowers and some exotic flowers. There were even Ubas growing. lol
